Out of stockIncredibly detailed pendant depicts the raven shape shifted into a fir needle. Wear the legend! 2" long. The legends of the Haida people tell how in the beginning the world was dark and the sun was kept hidden in the house of the sky chief. To gain access to the house, the raven transformed himself into a fir needle and was consumed by the chief's daughter when she drank from a stream. Once in the house, he became the woman's child, and tricked the sky chief into letting his new grandson near the sun. The raven stole the sun and brought it out into the world for all the people to have light, his greed becoming a great gift to all. Paul Wagner design.
